The good folk at Jenkem Magazine just published the craziest interview with legendary Pro Skater Marc Johnson. It was not only a refreshing read, but it's candidness, realness, and surprising humbleness about being a Pro removed all the smoke and mirrors of being in the Skate industry. Business is business and as many of us already know the sad truths of the Skate World, there are even more of us who don't. Who is Milli Mars? Well, if you didn't know you will really soon! The only intro I'm going to give you is that he is a dope MC hailing Texas about to fucking take over. Something raw. Something new. Something real. Yep. We had the rad opportunity to ask Milli a few questions to see a few things that made him click. Enjoy!
1. What's up Milli Mars! How's it hanging these days?
Life is ill.. Just been keeping up with how the government wants to kill us all and working on up and coming projects.. Next album is about done videos N the works and banging chicks in Creep Street shirts.
2. Miguel is a cool ass dude. How did you link up with the Ghostpizza camp?
My producer ( CJ ) and him knew each other before hand my man Ghost happen to hear Wat we were doing.. I mean wen u know u know. After that the rest was history.
3. I got a special love for San Antonio. Is that where you were born and raised?
Born and raised in SA I moved to VA Beach as a child for a few years totally different world out there Texas is where my heart is tho.
4. What makes Texas better than any other state?
Tacos and I fuckin love Hispanic women sooo.. Yea and tons of niggas rap like they from here so we must be doing something right.
5. Tell us about your upbringing & a little bit about your family. Do you have any other musical talents in your bloodline?
Confused.. Never met my real pop didn't learn that till just last year. Randomly came to see my mother and she told me while she was drunk...If I didn't have music and marijuana I would rob banks
6. How about growing up? Were you a troublemaker? High School? College life?
Kicked out of high school a couple of times never quite made it to ivy league status.. Sad Harvard was always a dream of mine.. Haha
8. Favorite Album of all time?
Not going to say my favorite but The Score by the Fugees I jam it about everyday.
9. How has rap changed your life? When did you decide that this was your true passion?
It didn't just change my life it gave me one.. before this I ran wild wit no structure. No idea where id be.
10. Let's cut into it. The video for Alarm was dope. It was also produced by Abteen Bagheri (of A$AP: Pesos notoriety). What was great about working with him? I also think the meat market was a tight setting, did you ever work in one?
Never worked in a meat market the vid was cool my nigga Ghost found all the locations.
11. So I gotta ask what does YMID stand for?
YMID means (Young Millz Is Dead) and old rap name.. it just defines a major change in my life that had to be made.
13. Holly has bit of Sleigh Bells laced in the mix - are you a fan of their music? Love that shit!
Sleigh bells is fuckin ill.. yes became a fan I believe every artist should know who they are sampling.. Cj keeps me informed on the old the new the guys ear is Robotic.

Song it had to mean something for my city even went back to study the history of SA and thought fuck.. Why am I researching I am SA we embody this shit just went in. It came out dope
15. The South has a long list of heavy hitters in the hip hop genre. A lot of people might pool you with many of the younger rappers taking over the scene these days. You have a specific unique underground sound that I really dig. Crazy synths & the production is tight. Do you do it all yourself?
My producer and myself are the only ones in the studio as far as the recording process.. We have an engineer Mike.. All my niggas in house shit want to keep an organic sound
16. You're doing a shit load of shows these days too. I'm sure it's keeping you busy! How have things been compared to when you first started building your fan base?
Crowd grows each show in our city it shows me fully if u make potent shit there is nothing to worry about we have a rawness that we will never let up on which will keep our fans more then satisfied
17. Next major city you're hyped about performing in? Talk about your upcoming projects. New mixtape/album in the works?!
We are touring this month if I'm not mistaken.. The new album will be some end all shit music vid in the works..Next major city I'm hyped about.. Got to be NY. I dig chicks wit attitudes and bamboo earrings.
19. Is there a special lady/ladies in your life? The chicks need to know...
I'm single.
20. You're truly a talented cat. I'm glad I got this interview in. Any advice for the youngins trying to make it big in the industry?
Let's see any advice on the road to riches.. Stay high as possible, whatever that may mean for you.. Just do you.
What do we love most about Texas? The BBQ? Well, yes. But other than that, our rad ass friends! Nothing has gotten me more into "man shit" than my Texas family (haha Chris). That means, guns, steak, motorcycles, tattoos, and of course – Horror! I had the chance to do a fun little interview with a good homie of ours, Lawrence Mercado from San Antonio, who not only is a Zombie Apocalypse expert, but a professional movie makeup artist, comedian, and more importantly - plays in a rad ass band!
1. Hi Lawrence how are you?
I'm doing very well, busy but busy is a good thing.
2. Where are you from & where do you currently reside?
I'm from San Antonio, TX. I travel a bit but my home and business are here.
3. What makes San Antonio special compared to all the other big Texas cities?
Well I cant speak for other people but I think it's our big city feel with a small city mentality but I mean that in a good way. I love this place. When ever I leave town for work or just traveling , it's always awesome coming back here...its home.
4. Where's the best food spot in San Antonio that people have been sleeping on?
Well if you mean that metaphorically sense, there is a Thai place that's amazing called Thai Pikul I love going to. But if you mean in a literal sense There is a taco place downtown that I've seen people sleeping.
5. Best/ worst hang out spot?
Depends on what company you keep. Anywhere could be a best hang out spot or worst haha.
6. What do you currently do for a living?
During the day I work at a hotel but all the rest of my income is from being a Make-up Artist and working on films and photo shoots.
7. Hustling! You're one of the most hardworking/ talented guys I know in the professional horror makeup industry. Tell us how you got your start in it?
Well thank you for that compliment first off. I got my start working for an fx company for a year worked on some fun and not so fun films, got work with Wille Nelson which for me was a blast, he was such a cool guy on set. After a while I branched off to do my own thing in 2007 as NotBotFx and ever since have been (gratefully) steadily working.
5. Which was the horror movie that you believe changed your life?
Anything Jack Pierce did the make up for, which was a great big chuck of the original Universal Monsters, he did so much with so little at his disposal back then. Also the first time I ever saw John Carpenter's The THING. That blew my mind what to see the effect Rob Bottin achieved . Also one of my idols is Greg Nicotero and the whole KNB company. They are for sure a big inspiration.
6. While we're on topic, which was your favorite in the suspense/thriller horror genre of all time and why?
Well I love the classics so I'd have to say in the horror suspense, Psycho (but it's always a rotating door).
7. You're also one of the funniest guys I know, and you seem to be able to charm the pants of any girl - literally! Your wittiness ever get you into any trouble?
Haha well I'm not sure if I'd agree with you fully on that but I always seem to be "witty/funny" at the worst times. For example with my ex-girlfriend every time we would get in an argument I'd crack a joke or try to lighten the mood, she hates that. But I guess it was a defense mechanism.
8. Ok now to the juicy part! It's quite apparent you also have a passion for music – and you're in a band called SOHNS! When did you guys start the band?
Sohns has been a band since 2006 and I joined in 2009 and have this coming up your will be our 8th national tour. Pretty stoked!
9. Let's dig! What does SOHNS stand for and what filthy fuckers do you playing in the band?
Haha SOHNS as far is I know is German for Son but there also use to be a girl in the band so the H was for Her in soHns. I also like to tell people that it means "So Only Half Naked Sluts"? But that one didn't take off...

10. You guys have a familiar yet distinctive sound. Who would you say are your inspirations?
Yeah for sure we got some. Refused, These arms are snakes (whom we got to record with in Seattle on out first full length), the Jesus Lizard, liars , this list goes on but we all are influenced by different genres of music and when we all bring our own tastes to the table to mix it together in a cohesive heavy sound it pretty much makes that Sohns sexy sound.
11. You got a big tour lined up! Who are you stoked to be performing with? What cities are you most looking forward to?
Well for a good big part of our tour is with our best friends The Reptilian (check them out) they are an amazing band and I can't wait to see then at every night. As for city's we have a huge two day festival in Virginia put together by our label Flannel Gurl Records. Also Boston was so fun the last time we were there and looking forward to that. Chicago and especially Canada, I've never been and I've always wanted to go there, and that we get to play there is a double whammy.
12. Big things homie! Any other rad projects you're currently working on and have coming out?
I'm in one production in two movies due to shoot in September and October and two Comic Conventions that I'll be doing with a good friend of mine Anthony Guajardo he's was in the first season The Walking Dead. Plus we are also shooting two music videos and a promotional video for your very own CREEP STREET, the concept is awesome! As for Sohns when we get back we will be getting to work on our second full length .
13. Can't wait dude! Your latest video single Abomination is something else! How did you fellows come up with the song?
When we write we like it to be a natural thing that's not forced but still has the energy to keep the listener interested. This song is a perfect example of us being able to start heavy and end heavy with the grove trapped in the middle. JC and Luis did a great job holding it down on this one.
14. Looks like everyone might have had too much fun. Any fun stories you'd care to share during the making of...or more importantly the aftermath?
Ha! Yeah I almost kinda died in that Pikachu suit...you can actually see in the video when I come down the slide I don't get up right away due to the fact that I could movie cause the suit soaked up all the water like a giant sponge. It was bad. As for the "aftermath" a lot of us don't remember most of that stuff in the video so it was kinda like our first time seeing it too haha.

1. Where are you originally from?
Odessa Ukraine, moved to Long Island when i was five with my family.
2. How do you like NYC? Do you ever miss Boston? If so what?
I LOVE New York City. i do miss Boston but "So Little" (see what i did there?) hah. I miss the friends I have left still living there. I want them all to move here.
3. Your voice is amazing, have you've been classicly trained?
Yah, i sang in chamber choir, all county womens choir, did lots of classical and american song book music. it gave me a huge foundation but i knew that wasnt my voice... do you know what i mean?
4. What instruments do you play? Which is your fave?
My favorite is obviously the voice. its the most portable, the most precious and fragile. i can dabble on piano...its what i use to compose my songs.
5. Tell us about what inspired your new EP One Big Scandal? How did you come up with the name?
Musical inspiration was a time period of purpose and simplicity. where instruments acted as voices and voices as instruments. One Big Scandal...is all the hidden messages someone can say without talking, the secrets you keep, the truth behind how view yourself in moments of a relationship/friendship etc. it demonstrates the confidence and strength one can have in their weakest moments and how they over come it. "dame" is an example of not allowing anyone take you for granted. if a womanizer exists...than a man eater can exist.
6. Any exciting projects in the works your fans should know about?
I shot a music video for dame this summer, waiting on the final edits. so id say keep an eye out for that. im taking everything day by day, learning as i go...so now im learning how to book a mini tour and have other states see my show.
7. Favorite hang out spot in NYC?
Absinthe (if you want to get with a "Dame like me" take a note from those babes), Simple Cafe, An Nhau, and good wine bar (those i keep a secret).
8. Favorite Restaurant?

So my hardcore buddies at TWWK dropped their latest single titled Death Dealer recently and what better way to spotlight these hardworking fellas than on the Creep Street blog?! I caught up with the notorious bearded viking himself guitarist Tim Howley! Other than having an impressive sneaker & cap obsession Tim has been down with the Creeps since day one! 1. What is you name & what do you do for a living?
My name is Tim and I play guitar for The World We Knew
2. Where are you originally based out of?
Long Island, New York
3. How long have you been in the band? And how did you fucks get together?
I've been since late 2007. Our singer formed the band about 6 years ago and I was forced to join.
4. I know there had been slight changes in the band in the last few years, care to talk about it?
We just didn't get along with old members and they weren't contributing that much in the writing process so we ended up getting new guys.
5. & 6. Any fights ever break out? IF SO, who usually wins?
With the old line up yes. New line up, that's a definite no. I think the only thing we argue about is really stupid. I say my beard wins.
7. Are there more chicks or dicks at your shows?
WAY more dicks. Unfortunately.
8. Which city shows the most love?
HOME of course. Then you have Omaha, NE - Whitesburg, KY - and probably Milwaukee, WI.
9. Which show the most hate? Words for the haters?
Oh man. Probably Mass, Arkansas, and New Mexico. Usually the worst shows of tour.
10. What was your most memorable show played to date?
We played with Hatebreed and E.Town Concrete at Starland Ballroom. It sold out at 2500 people. The crowd was intense.
11. Any gang bangs with groupie girls?
HA no. None of us want to get burned so we tend to stay away from Sloots.
12. How does Frank slay all them hoes?
I honestly dont know. Banging him has to be like banging a pissed off girl.
13. Why is he not on isanyoneup yet? Or is he...
He does not have nudes. I do have a video of him naked though. I should send it in.
14. What did you have for dinner last night? Was it good?
Actually I had a Skirt steak with Mashed and Asparagus. It was quite enjoyable.
15. Where do you currently sleep at the moment?
I live in an apartment above my awesome dad.
16. Craziest story you've had while touring?
There are so many, but we got rear ended by a tractor trailer and it fucked up allllll of the gear in our trailer.
17. How would you define your genre of hardcore/ post hardcore?
Honestly I think with this CD, we've become just an outright metal band. Luckily.
18. Where are you guys headed to next? You've been touring like crazy giving them youngins a hard on. What are the future plans for you & TWWK?

20. Tell us more abut your epic beard and its plans for the future.
I currently have it braided and I think its going to stay like that for a while. I look neater. The ladies love it.
21. Does it have a healthcare plan?
Fuck it should, I throw it birthday parties.
22. How do you feel about the straighedge culture compared to whats its been and what is is now?
I hate it. People use it to make themselves belong to something instead of doing it for themselves.
23. Would you be down to wear a viking helmet at your next show?
I would. But I dont want one of those party city pieces of shit. I want it to be made with real Ram horns.
24. Which other bands do you think are killing it right now? Who would you like to play a show with? I'd love to tour with all of the bigger named in our scene. Unearth, AILD, Lamb Of God, etc. All those bands are huge influences so it would be an accomplishment.

Jeez. At The Gates, Pantera, Big L, Gov't Mule, Clutch. Oh yeah, and Exemption.

Purple. By far.

Our very own Canadian Creepette Felicia Mancini goes back to Camp Arawak to interview Jonathan Tiersten aka Ricky in the cult classic Sleepaway Camp. He talks chicks, cults and why decades later Sleepaway Camp remains to have one of most shocking endings in the history of horror.
Q: How was it like filming something that decades later has become not only a classic horror film but a cult-like following to go along with it? Did you have any sort of idea Sleepaway would be received the way it did?
A: Sleepaway Camp is like an old friend. Sometimes it feels very secure to know they are there for you no matter what and sometimes they are the one that drives you nuts.Existentially there is nothing I can do about it either way. We all knew something different was going on all those years ago. It sounds like bullshit, but we could feel it. It beat out Yentl and Amityville 3D in it's first weekend. It ran in theatres for almost a year. Even back then that was a long run. As far as cult status, I think we have Jeff Hayes and the internet to thank for that. It all started about at the turn of Century. People were so worried about their computers dying they missed the reemergence of something much more terrifying. Sleepaway Camp!
Q: Why is Sleepaway the quintessential Horror Summer Camp movie?
A: You know I was just reading something on an eighties website and could swear the guy took the words right out of my mouth. "Real characters. great kills, crazy ending." I always said that people put too much weight in the ending. If that is all there was nobody would still be watching. Can you imagine having to sit through 'The Crying Game' again? Zzzzzzz! The explanation I most often use is 'Sleepaway Camp is a cross between Friday The 13th and Meatballs, except that is scarier than Friday The 13th and funnier than Meatballs!'
Q: Favorite scene you shot during the filming?
A: My favorite scene was and is the baseball scene. Did you see my catch? It's even better in slow motion.
Q: How would you describe the fashion on set? The camp shirts and ultra short shorts are almost as iconic as the film itself!
A:The fashion on the set of Sleepaway Camp was the fashion of the times. That was how I dressed. It is no wonder I wasn't raped and killed on the streets of Manhattan, but I am serious when I say that is how I walked around. Alot of that wardrobe was mine. I like my legs. I am still very vain. Just ask my wife.
Q: Sleepaway was one of the very first 'female' serial killers in modern horror and even the other women in the film were all pretty unique, deranged and crazy personalities plus they were mostly all hot chicks. How would you describe the women of Sleepaway Camp?
A:They were beautiful. I had never been around such pretty women who didn't think I was a bug. In high school those girls do not hang with the short guy who doesn't play football. I still couldn't get a freakin' date when I got home. On set I was B.M.O.C!
Q: All these years later why is Sleepaway so relevant and carry such a strong following?
A: I think its relevance is based on several things. The most important lesson in Sleepaway Camp (killings aside) is tolerance and empathy. It is no wonder I have so many transgender friends. The world does not have to be a mean place. In the original Sleepaway Camp everyone who watches is pulling for Angela and she is the killer. Name me another horror movie where the audience feels badly for and is pulling for the monster.
Q: Will we see Angela and Ricky in another installment of the series after the last one that reunited the two of you?
A: Felissa and I talk all the time and she still speaks to Robert Hiltzik all the time. I'm in touch with the exec-producer of the last film. I think it will happen. Felissa and I just did our first film together that isn't Sleepaway Camp related. It is called 'The Perfect House'. Ironically I get to play a killer and she is a victim.
Q: The whole Sleepaway Camp series is filled with one liners - what was your favorite line as Ricky?
A: Eat shit and live!
